Vgo Telepresence Robot
The
advances in robotic technology have given home-bound students a chance to
attend classes. Take, for instance, the Vgo Telepresence Robot, which has
enabled Paris Luckowski, a brain tumor student, to be present at school
virtually. Previously, due to treatments of his tumor, the fourth grader Luckowski
couldn’t physically go to school. The Vgo Robot enables him to take part in
classroom activities and receive instruction without leaving home. He can also
move around in the classroom and socialize with his friend in the hallway. At
home, Luckowski with Vgo applications installed on his computer, just clicks on
the location, he is instantly there on the robot screen. To move the Vgo robot,
he just needs to drag the mouse pointer, and Vgo goes into that direction. In
short, this technological marvel will certainly bring a smile on the faces of
disabled students, as well as their parents and teachers.
